Mikel Arteta is one of the best in the business when it comes to managers in the Premier League. The Spaniard took charge of the Gunners in December 2019 and has since orchestrated a turnaround of sorts at the club. After coming up short to Manchester City by the finest of margins this season, his men are set to give City a run for their money.
With the Premier League title race set to go down to the wire, Arsenal have done what they can to stay in contention. A crucial 1-0 win against Manchester United helped the Gunners etch history. Their 27 wins this season is a club record and a number that has never been achieved before by an Arsenal manager. Following the game, Arteta had high praise for his players.
These 27 wins this season is the most in this club's history. That's not progress, that's history! That's very difficult to do in the League we're playing in now. Mikel Arteta said in an interview
“That’s not progress.. that’s HISTORY!” ✨

Despite being one of the major reasons for Arsenal‘s success, he deflected all the praise to his players and staff. The Gunners have Everton at home in their final match of the season.
Arsenal still have everything to fight for on the final matchday of the Premier League. The Gunners pulled off a commendable 1-0 win over a Manchester United side desperately looking for points. Following the win, Mikel Arteta’s men have a shot at the title, but will need City to drop points against either Tottenham Hotspur or West Ham United.
We have opened the box of dreams to live the final day of the season in front of our fans. We want to live that moment, and it's part of our journey to live the occasion. Mikel Arteta said in an interview
The Spaniard was also banking on Tottenham to do his side a favor by pulling off a result on Tuesday. City are behind Arsenal by a single point, but still have a game in hand.

"After today we wanted to open that door, last game in front of our people, let's see if one of most beautiful days that we have lived together happens.
We need that (Spurs) result in order to achieve it, and do our job. It's football. It's always possible." [sky] pic.twitter.com/hzqwEufwpD
Another detail worth mentioning is that Tottenham Hotspur thanked their fans for their support throughout the season after their 2-1 win against Burnley. What is uncanny is that clubs thank their fans on the final day of the season and Spurs still have City to play at home.
Several fans criticized the club for the same, claiming that they didn’t even count the game against City as something worth playing. Spurs’ recent form also doesn’t give much hope for Arsenal fans.
